What is your cancellation policy?
IMPORTANT! Please read before signing up to our workshops:
Although rare, there is always the possibility that we may choose to cancel a workshop, and we reserve the right to do so at our discretion. Should that be the case, your registration fees will be refunded in full. If you are concerned about recovering other expenses, please consider purchasing travel insurance.
It is impossible to predict the weather when arranging for a workshop. What some would consider bad weather often makes for great photography. Participants should arrive at the workshop prepared for all weather conditions and temperatures.
Occasionally, circumstances arise that prevent a person from participating in a workshop after registration. If you wish to protect your investment in the workshop and travel costs, you may wish to investigate travel insurance.
Cancellations, for any reason, must be in writing (e-mail or regular mail). If we cancel the workshop for any reason, a full refund will be given to each participant.
- If you cancel 60 days or more from departure, you will receive a full refund, minus a $500 administration fee and PayPal fee.
- If you cancel 30-59 days from departure, 50% of your workshop fee will be refunded, minus PayPal fee.
- No refund will be given if canceling 29 days or less from departure.
We make NO EXCEPTIONS to our $500 non-refundable administrative fee policy. Given our limited group size, an empty seat on a workshop is a significant loss to us, and this is our way of protecting ourselves. You may protect yourself, too, at your discretion, by purchasing travel insurance.
Is the workshop appropriate for children or young adults?
For liability reasons, we are unable to accept minors under the age of 18.
May I bring a non-photographer spouse/friend along?
Spouses and non-photographers are welcome to join as paid participants. If photography instruction is not of interest, they will still get to enjoy a visit to a scenic location. Due to limitations imposed by the National Park Service, we have a hard group size limit and are, therefore, unable to offer discounted rates for non-photographers.
Will I pay for my own lodging and transportation?
Unless otherwise stated, lodging and transportation costs are not included in the workshop fee. We reserve a block of rooms at our preferred lodging to ensure that everyone has a place to stay, but it is the participant’s responsibility to reserve and pay for their own rooms. We provide complete instructions upon registration.
I'd like to save some money. CAN I camp rather than stay at a hotel?
In most cases, camping is available close to our meeting location. We provide (optional) camping instructions upon registration
